CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of over 100 naturally occurring cannabinoids found in cannabis and hemp plants. CBD is one of the most common cannabinoids along with THC, but unlike THC, does not cause a “high” by itself. In 2018 CBD received its first FDA approval to treat epileptic seizures. There’s wide ranging studies being conducted for CBD. These studies vary from pain to sleep issues, along with many others, which the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has summarized here.
